Fazenda Bela Vista is has been in the Lima Reis family for 110 years. This fourth generation estate is south of Minas city and spans 1000 hectares, growing many cultivars, including this new Icatu (a Robusta hybrid) cross Catuai, Catucai.

This lot begins dry processing  first with 48 hours in closed bags in the shade, after which, they are taken to the patio and dried for 3 days, with a further three days in static boxes. Lastly, the beans rest for 15 days and are placed in the rotative dryers to complete the drying process.

This coffee showcases what modern processing can deliver, even against the backbone of a Robusta cross; jammy, berry tones overlay complex sugary sweetness. This coffee is body dominant, so it excels in milk, but is softly sweet and has a light acidity, which makes for a comforting black coffee.
