Many of the finest coffees from Guatemala are grown in Huehuetenango, at altitude, overshadowed by the Cuchumatan mountains (reaching up to 3800m). The Q’anjob’al are descendants of the Mayans and form a large portion of the Mam ethnic group in the Northwest of Guatemala. Unex, who work with smallholders all over Guatemala, carefully select and process this coffee, protecting the florals and winey acidity from high-grown Bourbon and Caturra derivatives.
